Job summary

The Buffalo Grove Park District is seeking a Swim Coach responsible for developing competitive swimming skills among participants. Coaching groups for the Hurricanes and Cyclones swim teams, the successful candidate will attend and coach at swim meets. Must possess strong communication skills and be available for evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications include at least 18 years of age, preferred 5+ years experience in swimming instruction or coaching, lifeguard certification, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred 5+ years experience as a swimming instructor or coach.
Experience as a competitive swimmer is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop competitive swimming skills and knowledge of program participants.
Coach groups for Hurricanes or Cyclones swim team.
Attend and coach at swim meets.

Job description

The Buffalo Grove Park District is currently seeking a Swim Coach. Swim coaches help to develop the competitive swimming skills and knowledge of program participants. The swim coach will be responsible for coaching groups for either the Hurricanes or Cyclones swim team, and for attending and coaching at swim meets.

Must have good communication skills with children as well as adults. This position requires evening and weekend hours – typically 2-4 days during the week.
