Job summary

Buffalo Grove Park District invites applications for a Swim Coach to develop competitive swimming skills in program participants. The coach will lead groups for Hurricanes or Cyclones teams and attend meets to coach and support athletes.

Excellent communication with children and adults is essential; evening and weekend hours are expected, typically 2-4 days per week.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Requires CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Lifeguard certification is required.
• 5+ years experience as a swimming instructor or coach preferred.
• Experience as a competitive swimmer is preferred.

Job description

The Buffalo Grove Park District is currently seeking a Swim Coach. Swim Coaches help to develop the competitive swimming skills and knowledge of program participants. The swim coach will be responsible for coaching groups for either the Hurricanes or Cyclones swim team, attending and coaching at swim meets.
