Job summary

Wave Swim School at Juanita Aquatics Center is seeking a Swim School Supervisor to ensure high‑quality lessons, support instructors during lessons, enforce pool rules, and build trust with families.

The role supervises and evaluates instructors, trains new staff, manages class assignments, handles customer accounts, tracks progress, and coordinates deck operations. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to attain certification upon hire.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience teaching swim lessons for a minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to swim instructors.
• Train new swim instructors and provide ongoing training for all instructors.
• Supervise the deck to ensure smooth running operations.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the facility.
• Build relationships with participants and families to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide excellent guest service to swim school families in person, email and via phone calls.
• Ensure shifts are filled and substitute as needed.
• Perform various administrative tasks including handling customer accounts and class assignments.
• Determine whether students are ready to advance to the next class.
• Data collection and tracking of student progress and instructor skills.
