Job summary

YMCA of Greater Kansas City is seeking a Swim Lesson Instructor to teach swimming skills that build confidence, safety, and fun. The role includes optional lifeguard duties and offers free training and certification to get you ready.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• National CPR, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen and YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor certification.
• Free training and certification provided if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all posted rules to ensure participant safety.
• Teach swim lessons to various age groups per guidelines.
• Plan lessons and be well prepared for each class.
• Set up and tear down of lesson equipment.
• Take attendance for all classes.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications through YMCA training.
