Job summary

C.M. Gatton Beaumont YMCA in Lexington, KY is seeking energetic Swim Instructors to join our aquatics team. If you love working with kids and helping people build confidence in the water, this is the perfect job for you.

You will be the highlight of our members' week, delivering high-energy lessons in a supportive environment. Primary shift Tue/Thu evenings 4:00 PM–7:30 PM, with additional shifts and private lessons available.

Qualifications

• Age: Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Excellent swimming ability and a varied aquatics background.
• Strong public relations skills to communicate with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons according to YMCA guidelines.
• Maintain safety on deck and in the water; enforce pool rules.
• Provide immediate rescue and emergency assistance when needed.
• Arrive 10 minutes early to prepare materials and greet parents.
• Ensure programs start and finish on time; greet and assist participants.
