Job summary

The-Arena-Club in Bel Air, MD seeks an Aquatics Coordinator to oversee year-round swim lesson programs, manage rosters, and coordinate staff and member communications. The role encompasses scheduling, record-keeping, and credential maintenance to ensure high-quality lessons.

You will work with instructors, the Aquatics Director, and members to deliver consistent, safe, and engaging programs while handling payroll and hiring of instructors. Current WSI/CPR/Lifeguard certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current Water Safety Instructor, CPR (First Aid and AED), and Lifeguard Certifications.
• Experience coordinating swim lesson programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate year-round swim lessons.
• Manage school year group lessons (Sept–May).
• Manage private and semi-private lessons year-round.
• Manage summer camp group lessons (June–August).
• Answer calls, messages, and emails concerning lessons.
• Communicate with members about upcoming programs and classes and answer questions about lessons.
• Communicate with instructors individually and as a group about classes, progress reports, concerns, and new information.
• Provide instructors with tools needed to teach quality swim lessons.
• Communicate with Aquatics Director about progress of programs.
• Create rosters for group lesson classes and maintain that payments have been made.
• Assign instructors to teach group, private and semi-private swim lessons.
• Collect information from clients about interests in private/semi-private lessons and set them up with an instructor.
• Maintain records of clients who participate in group lessons as well as private and semi-private.
• Enter all group lesson sessions and classes in Compete (dates/times/duration/cost/class description/class size).
• Maintain certifications (WSI, CPR, First Aid and AED, Lifeguarding).
