Job summary

Sagewell in Greensboro, NC is seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor to teach lessons to participants of all ages, under supervision, following American Red Cross guidelines. You will help students develop swimming skills while prioritizing safety and fun in a supportive environment.

You will monitor progress, document results, and provide customized feedback. The role requires CPR/AED and First Aid certification and a High School diploma, with duties including enforcing rules and keeping the pool

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

The Swim Instructor provides swim lessons to participants of all ages and ability. Working under close supervision for routine situations, this role teaches swimming techniques according to American Red Cross guidelines and makes safety a top priority.

Essential Job Function

• Conducts swimming lessons for individuals and small groups, catering to varying skill levels and ages.
• Helps monitor and track participants' progress through proper documentation to provide customized feedback and guidance for areas of improvements.
• Teaches water safety principles, swimming techniques, and stroke development based on lesson objectives.
• Enforces ground rules, safety rules, and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Ensures cleanliness in the pool area by storing away proper equipment and disposing of trash.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
