Job summary

Sagewell in Greensboro, NC and Eden, NC seeks a dedicated group fitness instructor to lead safe, engaging classes that meet diverse health needs. This role contributes to a welcoming, health-focused environment within our medical fitness setting.

You will educate participants on proper form and modifications, ensure equipment safety, adapt sessions for all fitness levels, and help maintain a clean studio while supporting team goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Nationally accredited certification (ACE, ACSM, AEA, WaterArt, IFTA, AFAA, Yoga Alliance).
• BLS/CPR certification by the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and effective group exercise classes to improve participant health.
• Educate participants on proper form, anatomy, and modifications to promote safety and effectiveness.
• Ensure the safety of participants while using fitness equipment.
• Adapt classes to meet varying needs of fitness ability so all participants benefit.

Essential Job Function

• Helps lead safe and effective group exercise classes to improve participant health.
• Assists with educating participants on the proper form, anatomy, and modifications of exercise moves to promote safety and effectiveness of exercises.
• Ensures the safety of participants while using the facility’s fitness equipment.
• Adapts classes to meet the varying needs of fitness ability to ensure that all participants are benefiting from the class.
• Maintains cleanliness of the group fitness studio to uphold a positive reputation with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: A nationally accredited certification from a recognized organization or equivalent specialty certification such as ACE, ACSM, AEA, WaterArt, IFTA, AFAA, or Yoga AllianceBLS/CPR certified by the American Red Cross of AHA Healthcare provider
