Job summary

Glenview Park District is seeking swim instructors for the Splash Indoor Aquatic Center. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling for swim lessons on weekends and weekday evenings. The position is open to candidates aged 15 and older, with training provided.

Instructors will work to provide swim instruction, enforce safety rules, and interact with parents about their children's progress. Pay ranges from $16.00-$32.00 per hour based on lesson type and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old. Candidates under 16 need a worker's permit.
• Must pass swimming assessment and swim lesson training program.
• Prior experience as a swim instructor is desirable but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on curriculum.
• Enforce safety rules to prevent accidents.
• Evaluate swimmers’ progress and complete paperwork.
• Interact with parents/guardians about students’ swim skills.
