Job summary

A community-focused organization is seeking a passionate swim instructor to teach swimming skills and ensure pool safety at the Tri Community Branch YMCA. Responsibilities include conducting swim lessons for various age groups and maintaining a safe pool environment. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain Water Safety Instruction certification. Part-time hours include weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends with pay starting at $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Hold current Water Safety Instruction certification or be willing to become certified.
• One year of experience teaching swim lessons preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

Description

Are you passionate about aquatics? Do you enjoy teaching others swimming skills and techniques, as well as pool safety? If so, please consider applying to become a swim instructor and joining our Aquatics Team at the Tri Community Branch YMCA!

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach swimming lessons to diverse groups of people including adult members, youth, children families and those with diverse abilities.
• Create a welcoming and safe pool environment for all.
• Use appropriate equipment when necessary and report any issues with equipment to the Aquatics Director or facility personnel.
• File any reports or maintain any necessary documentation about progress for program participants.
• Attend staff trainings/meetings and maintain relevant certification related to the position.
• Other duties as necessary as assigned by the Aquatic Director/Coordinator.

Job Type: Part-time Hourly

Schedule: Weekday mornings & evenings, and Weekends- Please let us know what your availability is!

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus access to YMCA facilities ( gym, pool ect.) for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
