Job summary

The YMCA of the North Shore is hiring Swim Instructors to teach water safety and build confidence in children and adults through the YMCA Swim Curriculum. You’ll lead group and private lessons in a supportive, inclusive environment and help participants achieve their goals. New to teaching?

We provide paid training, shadowing with experienced instructors, ongoing coaching, and professional development. Must be at least 16 and hold current Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen

Qualifications

• Current certifications in Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, Pro CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen preferred – or willing to obtain
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Positive attitude, love of the water, and desire to make a difference!

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children and adults of all ages and abilities.
• Lead engaging group and private lessons using the YMCA Swim Curriculum.
• Promote water safety while helping participants build confidence and achieve their goals.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Celebrate each swimmer's progress and make every lesson fun and meaningful.
