Job description

Description: Do you love working with kids? If so, Goldfish Swim School is the place for you! We are looking for energetic swim instructors and lifeguards that have a passion for kids and the water. We change lives. We help children reach their goals. We instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques through the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. We wear flip flops. We work in a 90-degree pool. We love our employees and reward them for their hard work! No prior swim experience is necessary, but a willingness to learn and have fun is a must! We are seeking part-time employees that have the flexibility for mornings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities:

1. Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure parental satisfaction.
2. Holds consistent shifts and gives ample notice to ensure a positive transition for everyone.
3. Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
4. Uses problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
5. Evaluates students’ progress and is able to communicate this with the parent/guardian.
6. Is rescue ready at all times.
7. Inspects pool area before and after each class for cleanliness and possible maintenance issues or damage. Reports issues to management.
8. Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
9. Makes rescues and administers first aid when necessary. Reports all incidents to management and completes required documentation.
10. Attends mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours.
