This part-time dual role involves teaching learn-to-swim programs, supervising pool participants, and enforcing pool safety regulations. Prior teaching experience is not required, but a current ARC Lifeguard Certification is necessary.

Part-time Flex Hours:

Hours and shifts vary, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. This is a year-round position requiring year-round availability.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitoring pool activity to ensure safety protocols are followed
• Managing headcounts during watersport activities
• Identifying hazards and preventing accidents
• Controlling unruly behavior and enforcing rules
• Performing rescues and administering CPR/AED as needed
• Conducting water quality tests and maintaining safety equipment
• Cleaning pool and related facilities

Additional duties for Swim Instructor:

• Teaching swim lessons and safety education
• Developing strategies to increase class attendance
• Providing engaging and educational lessons
• Ensuring excellent customer service
• Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Attending training and staff meetings
• Completing lesson documentation

Salary ranges from $17.50 to $20.13 per hour.
