Job summary

A local swim school in Houston is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach water safety and swimming techniques. Responsibilities include providing swim instruction, ensuring safety, and evaluating student progress while engaging with parents. Candidates should have lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications with prior instructional experience being preferred. Flexible hours are available, making it an excellent job for students.

Qualifications

• Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor or childcare provider required.
• Swimming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork.
• Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills.
• Inspect pool areas before and after each class.
