Job Title: Swim Instructor - Health & Fitness - PRN (7463-12776)

Job Description:

• Maintain order by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
• Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning or other unsafe situations. Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
• Test water chemistry and maintain the cleanliness of the pool and pool area.

Qualifications:

For Lifeguard:

• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Certifications include:
• American Red Cross CPR-AED for Lifeguards within 7 days of hire.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding within 7 days of hire.
• Physical requirements include maintaining a high level of physical fitness, ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, and over 150 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Must demonstrate swimming skills such as front crawl (freestyle), breaststroke, and skills covered in the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course.

For Swim Instructor:

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross CPR certification required within one month of hire.
• Starfish Aquatics Institute Swim Instructor certification required within one month of hire.
• Proficiency in swimming skills covered in Swim Instructor training.
