Job summary

CELTS Aquatics Group in Matteson, IL is seeking an entry-level Swim Instructor to join our team. The role offers 3–20 hours per week, including weekends and weeknights, with training provided for the right candidate.

You will teach swimming techniques, water safety, and survival skills, monitor progress, and maintain a safe, positive learning environment while communicating with swimmers and parents about goals and expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience with children preferred; internships may be available.
• Patience, energy and strong speaking skills.
• Need to work flexible hours including weekends and weeknights.
• Commitment to swimmer safety and water safety principles.
• Entry level welcomed; on‑the‑job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim techniques and water safety to individuals and groups.
• Evaluate and monitor swimmers' progress regularly.
• Instruct survival skills and promote safe swimming practices.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all swimmers.
• Communicate progress and goals with swimmers and parents.
