Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Swim Instructor in Flemington, NJ. Part-time with hourly pay ranging from $12.50 to $23 per hour, plus opportunities for full-time shifts. Roles include group and private instruction for children, with training provided and a supportive team environment.

Ideal candidates are 15+ years old, passionate about teaching swimming, and able to obtain American Red Cross CPR certification. Join us to help kids develop lifesaving skills and grow with the Y.

Qualifications

• Age 15+ required.
• Experience with kids and passion for teaching children to swim.
• Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification.
• Ability to complete the in-water skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Work with groups and individuals to help swim-skill goals.
• Follow YMCA lesson plans and policies for lessons.
• Set up and clean up equipment for lessons.
• Communicate progress and goals to participants and guardians.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for students.
• Collaborate with aquatics staff, lifeguards, and supervisors.
