Job summary

A community-focused nonprofit organization in Lancaster is looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to teach swimmers of all ages. You will provide lessons that promote swimming skills in a fun, safe environment. The position offers flexible hours, and employees enjoy free access to facilities. Candidates must have CPR and First Aid certifications and meet varying experience requirements based on the instructor level applied for. Qualifications

• Must have or obtain CPR Pro and First Aid certification.
• State police clearance, child abuse clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance required.
• High School Diploma is mandatory for higher instructor levels.
• 3–5 years teaching swim lessons experience required based on instructor level.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons as assigned following YMCA guidelines.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants and caregivers.
• Relays participant progress to parents/caregivers in a friendly atmosphere.
• Maintain required records such as attendance and certificates.
• Follow all YMCA policies and procedures, including safety measures.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings when requested.
