Legacy Swim Academy is always looking for friendly and enthusiastic individuals to be trained and work as swim instructors, deck attendants, and coaches. Great part time positions for San Diego residents seeking NON-SEASONAL employment, or persons who could commit for year round and long term employment. Engage in meaningful interactions and help influence the safety and well being of children in the Coronado, Carlsbad and the greater San Diego community!

We are looking for persons to commit to year-round Part Time employment, 2-6 days per week with our programming laid out in the following manner:

M-F 3-630 + Sa 9-12 for the following:

Spring Season (beginning March-beginning June)

Summer Season (beginning June-end August)

Fall Season (September-end November)

MWF 3-630 + Sa 9-12 for the following:

Winter Season (December-February – off for two weeks for holidays)

An ideal candidate for this position is someone with swimming experience who has high energy but is patient. Applicants should be reliable and responsible when working with children and genuinely enjoy aquatic activities! Our Coronado program runs group lessons in an outdoor pool that is heated to 86 degrees. We host Parent/Child, Learn To Swim, Developmental and Advanced Technique lessons along with a Recreational Swim Team.

An in-water training period is expected to be completed upon hiring before instructing classes independently. Instructors must be CPR certified or willing to obtain certification or renewal within 30 days of hire. All applicants must agree to and pass a background check.
