Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.*We are searching for Swim **Instructors. Dates are 5/6/26-6/10/26 on Wednesday's from 4pm-6pm at the Queensbury Elementary School Pool.****Responsibilities:*** Will provide instruction and supervision of aquatic lessons and activities.* Assist client in and out of the pool* Adhere to standard safety practices, as well as job, department and Center policies and procedures related to safety* Assist clients in preparation for activities as needed, including transferring and putting on of floatation equipment* Clean/maintain pool deck sanitation as directed by Queensbury School Pool protocol and in accordance with New York State Department of Health standards* Participate in training and development activities in accordance with department and Agency policies* Engage in pool set up and closing duties in accordance with Queensbury pool policy* Attend meetings as scheduled by Department* Notify supervisor of incident and complete Incident Reports when necessary* Inspect all waterfront equipment and report any defects with recommendations for correction to supervisor**Requirements:*** High School diploma or equivalent* Specialized training, license, certification, skills: American Red Cross life guarding; CPR for the Pro-Rescuer; Standard First Aid* Less than 1 year of job related experience, specifically with people with developmental disabilities*At The Center for Disability Services, we don’t just accept difference – we celebrate it, support it, and thrive on it for the benefit of our employees and the people we support.
