Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

We're seeking a Swim Instructor to join our team! As our Swim Instructor, you will:

1. Teach various levels and age groups in accordance with the site's instructional guidelines.
2. Plan lessons, select appropriate drills, and evaluate students' progress.
3. Present demonstrations, explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use teaching devices.
4. Maintain a safe and positive teaching environment.
5. Attend all in-service trainings.
6. Maintain accurate records and prepare course completion certificates.
7. Perform all swimming strokes and skills taught in all levels.
8. Communicate students' progress to students directly or to parents when appropriate.
9. Project and promote a professional image.
10. Explain and enforce facility regulations, policies, and procedures to patrons.
11. Perform other tasks as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain them at the time of hire.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain it at the time of hire.
• Prior experience in lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons is highly preferred.

Please note: Must be at least 16 years of age.
