Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Swim Instructor to teach young swimmers in our Learn-to-Swim Program. The role involves helping beginner swimmers develop fundamental skills, water confidence, and safety awareness in a fun, supportive environment.

Role Responsibilities

1. Instruct beginner swimmers in essential techniques such as floating, kicking, breathing, and basic strokes.
2. Design engaging, structured lessons tailored to individual learning styles and progress levels.
3. Maintain a safe and encouraging environment, promoting water safety and confidence.
4. Provide clear, positive feedback and personalized instruction to facilitate improvement.
5. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and areas for improvement.
6. Maintain professionalism and energy in teaching approach.

Qualifications

1. Ability to effectively motivate and instruct swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
2. Capability to lift 25 lbs. or more, including equipment and assisting young swimmers.
3. CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start).
4. Ability to obtain Red Cross Lifeguard certification within 60 days of hire.

Schedule & Compensation

1. Part-time, flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
2. Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
3. Passion for working with children and teaching swimming is preferred.
