Job summary

SafeSplash Swim Schools is seeking enthusiastic Swim Instructors to deliver high-quality lessons using our proven curriculum. You will create a fun, safe, and supportive learning environment for students of all ages, reporting to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.

This role offers paid training, daily pay options, competitive pay, and free swim lessons for immediate family. Weekdays, weeknights, and weekends are required, with on-site work and a strong commitment to water safety

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certification completed within 30 days of employment.
• Completion of SafeSplash curriculum training within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work around water with children.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills in accordance with the SafeSplash curriculum in a fun and engaging manner.
• Provide continuous, positive feedback to students and parents on progress and achievements.
• Structure class time effectively to maximize learning through repetition and new skills.
• Track and document students' progression daily for consistent improvement.
• Conduct monthly Splash n’ Tell sessions to provide individualized feedback to parents.
• Ensure swimmer safety by following curriculum safety requirements and enforcing guidelines.
• Maintain proper use and organization of equipment to ensure timely class Start and finish times.

Responsibilities

Instruction & Student Development

• Teach swimming skills in accordance with the SafeSplash Swim School curriculum in a fun and engaging manner.
• Provide continuous, positive, and constructive feedback to students and parents on progress and achievements.
• Structure class time effectively to maximize learning through repetition, reinforcement, and the introduction of new skills.
• Track and document students' skill progression daily to ensure consistent improvement and proper class placement.
• Conduct monthly "Splash n’ Tell" sessions to provide individualized feedback to parents.

Safety & Class Management

• Ensure swimmer safety at all times by following safety requirements laid out in the curriculum, maintain constant supervision and enforce safety guidelines.
• Maintain class structure and organization, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient use of lesson time.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to management immediately.

Operational Excellence

• Maintain proper use and organization of equipment to ensure timely class start and end times.
• Communicate class updates, student progress, and any changes to management to keep class records accurate.
• Adhere to SafeSplash uniform standards as outlined in the employee handbook.

Job Type

Requirements

• CPR/AED and First Aid for Adult, Child, and Infant Certification or (must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment; (training available)
• Completion of SafeSplash curriculum training within the first 30 days of employment
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in and around water for extended periods
• Comfortable working with children for extended periods
