Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Danbury, CT seeks a Deck Supervisor to lead the on-deck team, supervise instructors, and maintain a safe, engaging pool environment for students and families.

You will ensure proper curriculum delivery, coordinate daily prep, monitor attendance, and communicate progress with parents, while supporting training and advancement in our fast-growing, employee-friendly franchise.

Two or more years of swim instruction experience and CPR/First Aid certification are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass background examinations.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned shift and supervise on-deck staff.
• Maintain pool environment and supervise students and parents.
• Ensure delivery of Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and prepare the deck.
• Interact with parents/guardians about progress.
• Act as ambassador for customer satisfaction.
• Maintain deck supervisor logs and monitor attendance.
• Coordinate cleaning and chemical levels.
• Arrange substitutes for absent employees.
• Provide substitute swim instruction when needed.
• Suggest improvements and lead staff training.
• Participate in trainings.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned.
