Natick Swim Team in Natick, MA seeks a PASSIONATE, ENTHUSIASTIC, and RELIABLE part-time Swim Coach to help young swimmers aged 5-18 improve, stay safe, and enjoy the sport. Safety and supervision are essential daily responsibilities.
You will design age-appropriate practice schedules, teach stroke development, plan meets, communicate with families, maintain a positive, professional environment, and collaborate with staff to support each swimmer's goals.
For over 50 years the Natick Swim Team has provided children ages 5 - 18 years of age the opportunity to participate in the competitive sport of swimming, while fostering a sense of self-worth and confidence. The primary focus of the team is aiding the swimmers in self-improvement which gives every swimmer the opportunity to succeed. The swimmers also learn sportsmanship by participating in intra-team and inter-team competitions which begins with the fundamental skills and we build from there to allow each swimmer to achieve their individual goals.
We are currently seeking PASSIONATE, ENTHUSIASTIC, and RELIABLE part-time a Swim Coach. The ideal candidate will have youth, high school, and/or college sports performance training or coaching experience. This position will be responsible for assuring the safety, well-being and enjoyment of all participants. In doing so, the Swim Coach is responsible for teaching these five components; personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water games and sports, and rescue through explanation, demonstration, and correcting individuals so that they learn to the best of their ability. Instructors are responsible for the planning, preparation and safety of the class.
This position is Grade 2 of the Town’s Part-Time Pay Plan with an hourly range of $19.50-20.69 per hr. based upon qualifications and experience.
