Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a Production Operator for the Sweeteners line at our Indianapolis plant. The role covers 2nd (2pm–10:30pm) and 3rd shift (10pm–6:30am) with on-site responsibilities and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The operator will run equipment on Clouds or Ropaks, read job orders, inspect products, and maintain accurate records while supporting a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have ability to understand oral and written instructions in English.
• Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills.
• Must have good job performance and attendance records.
• Prior team lead experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety and conducts self in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Inspects products for defects and measures products to ensure machine accuracy.
• Observes machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions and adjust machines within tolerances.
• Reads job orders to determine product specifications and plan sequences.
• Positions, loads, and secures stock material for production.
• Starts up and shuts down manufacturing equipment following SOPs.
• Maintains documentation of permanent records with neatness and accuracy.
• Complies with food safety and safety regulations.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
