Job summary

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a Sweet Waters Server at Valley River Inn in Eugene, Oregon. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and help deliver memorable guest experiences in a premier riverfront setting.

The role offers daily pay options, paid time off, health benefits, and a robust perks program to support work-life balance and career growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Available for AM & PM shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to use the computerized Point of Sale system.
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Knowledge of liquor laws and OLCC regulations.
• State Food Handler’s License(s) and OLCC Permit.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
• Enters orders into the POS and communicates special requests to the kitchen.
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups.
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages and proper temperatures.
• Maintains knowledge of menu changes and sold-out items.
• Processes guest payments with proper cash handling procedures.
• Keeps dining area clean and organized.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Impact

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
• Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
• Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
• Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized

What You Bring

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment
• Available for AM & PM shifts, weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
