Job summary

Pro-Vac is seeking a Sweeper Operator to support communities by keeping neighborhoods, roads, and waterways clean and safe. The role involves working in varied daily environments, collaborating with team members, and receiving one-on-one coaching from supervisors.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, commitment to safe work practices, and training on sweeper and water trucks. CDL with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements is preferred.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement & Air Brake Endorsements.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and perform daily physical activity.
• Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to varying weather and traffic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Implementing safe work practices and adhering to regulations.
• Demonstrating professionalism in customer interactions and services.
• Operating sweeper and water trucks safely and efficiently.

As a Sweeper Operator at Pro-Vac…

You will help support our communities by keeping neighborhoods, roads, and waterways clean and free of pollutant build-up and damage. Our sweeping services help make Washington a better place to live by improving road safety, reducing flooding, and preventing water contamination. Every day, you will work in a new environment, collaborate with other sweepers on our team to increase the quality of your work, and receive one-one-one support from your supervisors that value getting to know their team members on a personal level. Physical & Working Conditions

If you thrive working outdoors and hands-on, here’s what this role demands:

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights
• Standing and moving for extended periods; operating vehicles across varied terrain
• Perceiving auditory safety signals, verbal warnings, and radio communications in active field environments
• Wearing all required PPE including OSHA-compliant respirators, hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, and safety footwear
• Reading site documentation and accurately operating equipment controls
• Working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and wet conditions
• Maintaining situational awareness around active traffic, heavy machinery, and underground utilities
• Working in confined spaces per applicable safety protocols
