Job summary

Fairview Park City Schools is seeking a First Shift Sweeper/Cleaner for the Middle School and High School. The position is 6 hours per day (11:00 AM - 5:30 PM), five days per week, with a 186 work-day schedule per year.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms and buildings, using materials safely, and responding to supervisor requests. Minimum requirements: high school diploma, valid Ohio driver license, good health, and ability to lift 50 pounds.

The Fairview Park City Schools has an opening for a First Shift Sweeper/Cleaner at the Middle School / High School. This is a six (6) hours per day (11:00 AM - 5:30 PM), 5 days per week (Monday - Friday), 186 work-day schedule per year (student days) position.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma
• Have a valid Ohio Driver License
• Friendly and polite demeanor
• Ability to work well with staff, students and parents
• Evidence of exceptional attendance and work record
• Previous sweeper/cleaner experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work at a fast pace when required
• Evidence of good health and hygiene
• Be of good physical stature and able to lift 50 pounds and perform jobs that require bending

GENERAL DUTIES

• Perform general cleaning of the classrooms and buildings
• Mix and use cleaning materials properly and according to directions
• Work safely so as not to expose self or others to unsafe conditions
• Use cleaning equipment in a safe and proper manner
• Open and close facilities as required
• Respond to requests of supervisor in a timely manner

Pay scale starts at $17.98 per hour (proper placement based on negotiated agreement)
