Job Description Summary

In this exciting position, the Multimedia Content Reviewer will be responsible for writing and reviewing linguistic content in their native language to ensure the highest quality and accuracy for customers using multimedia platforms. The reviewer will also act as a cultural ambassador for their language market, producing fully localized content and identifying potential cultural issues, suggesting modifications to ensure content is appropriate and relevant for the target markets.

The ideal candidate has a background in journalism or similar fields, proven creative writing skills, and a keen attention to detail. A passion for music, film, and technology, along with familiarity with iOS and Mac OS devices, is highly desirable.

Main Duties

1. Localize, translate, and adapt content across various categories (multimedia, legal, technical, marketing) following style guides and guidelines.
2. Create new copy for multimedia products such as music, TV, app store apps, video on-demand, and gaming subscriptions.
3. Perform linguistic reviews of their own work and that of team members for all content types.
4. Copy-edit and fact-check content to ensure accuracy.
5. Conduct Localization QA testing on live content, including music, app descriptions, and marketing materials.
6. Research market-specific content trends, terminology, and localization best practices for their target audience.
7. Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics.
8. Report on media data and assets across content types.
9. Review linguistic assessments, create training materials, and ensure team members are trained on terminology, style, and best practices.
10. Collaborate with the global language team via virtual meetings and emails to ensure consistency and market-specific insights.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or media content editing, with writing samples.
2. Experience in multimedia translation and localization.
3. Ability to identify issues and inconsistencies quickly and make informed judgments.
4. Broad knowledge of music artists, TV, cinema, gaming, and pop culture.
5. Ability to own language market decisions confidently.
6. Highly detail-oriented with strong multitasking, prioritization, and deadline management skills.
7. Fluent in written and spoken English.
8. Strong computer literacy; knowledge of iOS/macOS systems is a plus.
9. Capable of typing in native language using a local keyboard.
10. Ability to work independently and remotely.
