Job summary

Vitalief partners with a leading New Jersey health system to recruit a visionary Senior Vice President of Research to guide a major transformation. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the SVP will oversee system-wide initiatives, grow industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials, and deepen ties with an Academic Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in biomedical sciences, public health, clinical research, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive executive leadership in clinical research within integrated health systems.
• Track record growing complex clinical research programs across multiple specialties.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership, investigators, and academic institutions.
• Experience leading research across multi-hospital or integrated health systems.
• Strong knowledge of clinical research regulations, FDA, GCP, IRB processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for research across the health system.
• Assess and optimize research infrastructure to build a world-class organization.
• Lead expansion of the clinical research enterprise with emphasis on non-oncology trials.
• Build research infrastructure with operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Establish partnerships with Academic Medical Centers to support translational research.
• Identify new clinical research opportunities with physicians and service lines.
• Expand relationships with industry sponsors and CROs.
• Provide executive oversight of research operations, budgeting, and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GCP, IRB, and human subjects protections.
