Responsibilities:
  • Play a pivotal role in handling many of the day-to-day activities for the healthcare practice's account teams, including working with senior members of the team to drive client business and programs, connecting across our healthcare and agency teams, and providing client counsel.
  • Be responsive and available to the team and clients, with a "roll up your sleeves" mentality (on internal and external calls, reviewing materials, working closely with the VP on staffing, roles & responsibilities, developing plans and strategic materials with the team).
  • Be flexible and manage teams across accounts; coordinate with team on resources and mentor and manage staff; bring on agency resources to create the "best teams" and deliver results for your clients.
  • Develop and edit high-quality written materials, including client annual plans, creative programs, social strategy and content, media and other stakeholder communications/materials, etc.
  • Develop relationships and coordinate across external audiences: third-party organizations, healthcare professionals, media, etc.
  • Explore and create opportunities for incremental business growth within your clients' organizations.
  • Manage team driving program plans and budgets for profitability; ensure regular communication to clients and agency management.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Cultivate diverse teams and contribute to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience. Pharmaceutical or healthcare communications experience within an in-house team or communications agency is required, including experience working in corporate healthcare.
  • Pharma and regulated health expert, with a clear understanding of how to guide the team and client toward solutions that compliantly allow us to activate through the most effective channels.
  • Breadth of understanding of different disciplines, with a 360 mindset to pull in the right people for the right activities.
  • Expert oversight over multiple workstreams, with attention to detail.
  • Solution-focused; offering clear counsel.
  • Innovative - always pushing for excellence and thinking about how to achieve the best results (take things from good to great).
  • Understands the business and how to show communications value in driving core business objectives.
  • Client-focused, building relationships and trust to serve current business and seamlessly mine for new opportunities
  • Is operationally minded and can manage staffing, projections, forecasting, etc.
  • A thirst for knowledge, interest, and desire to work in the ever-changing world of healthcare and communications.
  • Skilled at applied strategic thinking, anticipating issues, trends, and connections, and translating those insights into actionable ideas for the clients and our healthcare team.
  • A collaborative team member and leader, with strong project management and problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively supervise, train and mentor junior-level account staff, provide quality control, determine workflow and assignments.
  • Strong client relationship skills and the ability to successfully represent FH and client companies to key stakeholders.
