Job summary

The Trust for Governors Island seeks a Senior Vice President, Facilities & Infrastructure to lead the maintenance, care, and operations of all island assets. You will manage engineering, custodial services, project management, and site supervision, directing a team of 3 direct reports and 20+ staff, including union and management employees.

Responsibilities include strategic preventative maintenance, asset management systems, budgeting, SOPs, safety compliance, and cross-department collaboration

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 10-15+ years in an operations environment, preferably on a campus/public space/high-profile space.
• Experience coordinating with design and construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic maintenance plan for infrastructure and facilities including historic buildings and utilities.
• Lead the administration and development of an Asset Management System with KPIs.
• Oversee annual operating budget and staffing for Facilities & Infrastructure.
• Ensure safety, code compliance and high standards across all buildings.
• Collaborate with Real Estate and Design/Construction teams on projects.
