The SVP, Engineering at Hanwha Qcells USA Corp provides executive leadership over all engineering functions within the EPC business, including civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical design and delivery for a national portfolio of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects.

The role drives engineering strategy, standards, design governance, and performance of staff and external partners. This is an on-site Houston position with standard hours and up to 30% travel.

Formación

• PE license required; multi-state licensure preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of progressive engineering experience; senior leadership in EPC/construction.
• Experience leading engineering design for utility-scale solar PV and/or BESS.
• Deep expertise in HV electrical systems, civil/geotechnical design, or BESS integration.
• Strong communication skills with executive audience and external stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Define and execute the engineering strategy for the EPC business.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization across multiple disciplines.
• Own engineering quality, schedule adherence, and budget across projects.
• Drive standards, templates, specifications, and best practices for PV/BESS.
• Oversee EPCM firms, design subcontractors, and external engineers.
• Partner with PM, Procurement, and Construction to align with schedules.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation across the project lifecycle.
• Serve as senior technical escalation point for complex challenges.
• Support business development with technical proposals and client presentations.
• Interface with interconnection authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee commissioning and startup engineering ensuring safe, reliable energy production.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to align with best practices.
