Symetra Financial Corporation is seeking an SVP & Corporate Actuary to lead enterprise actuarial modeling, valuation, and international reporting while guiding governance and strategic financial decisions. The role partners with the CFO and senior leaders to shape capital management, regulatory compliance, and growth strategy.

Formación

• 15+ years of actuarial experience with leadership of senior actuarial professionals.
• Deep expertise in life and annuity actuarial disciplines, including valuation, financial reporting, enterprise modeling, capital management, regulatory oversight.
• Proven ability to communicate financial results to executives and non-actuarial audiences.
• Experience leading enterprise actuarial functions within a life insurance organization.
• Willingness to travel ~10–15% annually.

Responsabilidades

• Provide enterprise strategy and partnership with CFO and executives.
• Champion modernization of actuarial capabilities through automation, analytics, AI and new modeling tech.
• Lead and develop a high-performing actuarial team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Oversee governance of enterprise actuarial modeling, valuation, reporting, and appointed actuary responsibilities.
• Translate complex actuarial concepts into actionable insights for boards and senior leaders.
