Job summary

Symetra Financial Corporation seeks an experienced actuarial leader to guide enterprise modeling, valuation, and capital management. You will partner with CFO, Chief Actuary and senior executives to translate actuarial insights into strategic business decisions.

Lead governance of international reporting, manage global actuarial coordination, and drive modernization across Finance, Data, and IT functions at Symetra. Travel 10-15% annually expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of actuarial experience with leadership of senior professionals.
• Deep expertise in life insurance, annuities, valuation and regulatory oversight.
• Ability to communicate results to executives and non-actuarial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise actuarial insights to senior leadership and balance sheet decisions.
• Lead governance of actuarial modeling, valuation and international reporting.
• Drive capital optimization and strategic enterprise planning initiatives.
• Manage relationships with Bermuda teams and international partners.
