Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end compensation function across the firm, including base salary, incentive plans, and deferred compensation structures.
  • Design and manage annual compensation cycles, including bonus planning, salary reviews, and executive compensation decisions.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align compensation strategy with firm performance, growth, and talent priorities.
  • Develop and maintain market-competitive compensation frameworks, leveraging benchmarking data across investment management and financial services.
  • Provide strategic guidance on hiring offers, promotions, and retention packages.
  • Lead compensation modeling, scenario analysis, and financial planning in partnership with Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and governance standards.
  • Build and maintain compensation policies, documentation, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Vice President of Compensation to lead and own all aspects of compensation for a growing investment firm. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this person will serve as the subject matter expert on all compensation matters across the organization, partnering closely with HR, Finance, and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end compensation function across the firm, including base salary, incentive plans, and deferred compensation structures
  • Design and manage annual compensation cycles, including bonus planning, salary reviews, and executive compensation decisions
  • Partner with senior leadership to align compensation strategy with firm performance, growth, and talent priorities

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in compensation, ideally within asset management, private equity, hedge funds, or financial services
  • Proven experience operating as a senior individual contributor, owning compensation end-to-end
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Based in New York City with a 4-day onsite requirement
