Job summary

Sunward Federal Credit Union is seeking an SVP, Business Services & Lending to lead commercial lending, business services, treasury management, and deposit portfolios. This strategic executive role drives credit strategy, risk governance, product development, and portfolio performance.

The position partners with the ELT to shape strategy, oversees regulatory compliance, talent development, and cross-functional initiatives to grow member value and market position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership in commercial lending, credit, or business banking.
• Experience leading large, complex commercial lending organizations or business services functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise strategy for commercial lending, business services, and treasury management.
• Oversee credit risk governance, policies, and loan quality across portfolios.
• Lead development and enhancement of commercial lending and deposit products.
• Partner with IT to implement technology that improves member experience and efficiency.
• Guide strategy for member business acquisition, retention, and relationships.
• Lead and develop commercial lending leadership teams and foster accountability.
• Manage profitability, growth, and risk in the portfolio; monitor budgets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and governance, including audits and exams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on initiatives and external communications.
