The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Vice President, Clinical Strategy & Solutions (Oncology) to shape the future of our clinical trial strategy and execution. This high-impact role blends strategic operations, business development partnership, and patient-focused innovation.

The SVP will lead a global team, work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and serve as a senior voice in both operational delivery and client engagement. The ideal candidate will bring deep oncology expertise, global CRO leadership experience, and a passion for embedding patient and clinician perspectives into every stage of trial design and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the global operational strategy in oncology and rare disease trials to strengthen reputation and revenue growth.
• Lead and mentor a team of strategic and clinical intelligence professionals, fostering innovation and high performance.
• Collaborate with business development teams to craft winning strategies for new client opportunities, contributing to proposals and bid defences.
• Establish functions to capture and integrate patient insights and KOL perspectives into trial strategy and design.
• Leverage clinical intelligence and real-world data to inform competitive positioning and optimize study outcomes.
• Promote a patient-centric approach across all stages of trial planning and execution.
• Represent the company externally at industry meetings, speaking engagements, and publications, positioning the organization as a thought leader in oncology clinical research.
• Oversee departmental management responsibilities including budgeting, structure, and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a scientific or medical field (PhD/MD strongly preferred).
• Significant global clinical research experience in oncology, with a successful track record of leadership in a CRO or biopharma setting.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry trends in oncology and rare disease trials.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed, international environment, building high-performing, cross-functional teams.
• Proven success collaborating with commercial/business development colleagues to win and deliver complex clinical programs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
