Job summary

Work In Biotech LLC in Seattle (Hybrid) seeks a senior scientific leader to drive research strategy for antibody and biologic therapeutics, guiding programs from discovery through IND submission. You will oversee IND-enabling development, integrating pharmacology, structural biology, DMPK, toxicology with CMC and regulatory planning.

Requirements include a PhD/MD/MD-PhD with 15+ years in industry, deep antibody expertise, and a track record of leading IND-enabling programs across pharmacology,

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology, virology, or related field.
• 15+ years of industry experience with leading biologics through IND and into clinic.
• Deep expertise in antibody and biologic therapeutics including discovery and preclinical development.
• Proven ability to oversee IND-enabling programs across pharmacology, DMPK, and toxicology.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead research strategy for antibody and biologic programs, from discovery to clinical entry.
• Drive target validation and candidate selection grounded in disease biology and MOA.
• Establish antibody engineering, protein sciences, and translational pharmacology capabilities with virology support.
• Oversee assays to characterize binding, potency, and mechanism of action for antiviral candidates.
• Guide antibody optimization and candidate selection based on potency, developability, PK properties.
• Lead IND oversight and align study plans, timelines, and data quality for submission and clinical entry.
• Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary research organization.
