Job summary

VTC Bus Corp. is seeking a dedicated SUV Driver to join our student transportation team.

In this transitional role, you will operate a company-provided SUV with a regular (non-CDL) driver’s license to safely transport students to and from school and related activities, while actively enrolled in a training program to obtain endorsements. • Must hold a valid regular (Class D) driver’s license.
• Clean driving record and strong attendance.
• Commitment to completing training and obtaining Passenger (P) endorsement.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety during pick-up, transit, and drop-off

We are looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious SUV Driver to join our student transportation team. In this transitional role, the driver will operate a company-provided SUV using a regular (non-CDL) driver’s license to safely transport students to and from school and related activities. While in this role, the driver will be actively enrolled in a training program with the goal of obtaining the required endorsements.

While Operating an SUV (Non-CDL):

• Safely transport students following assigned routes and schedules

• Ensure student safety during pick-up, transit, and drop-off

• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly vehicle interior

• Communicate professionally with dispatch, school staff, and supervisors

• Complete required trip documentation and incident reports

• Learn and apply student transportation safety procedures and emergency protocols

• Demonstrate steady progress toward licensure and professional development goals

Pay Rate:

$17.00/hr - Preservice Training (1 week)

$21.50/hr- Once endorsements are achieved
