Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent mechanical CAD software.
• Experience designing or supporting production-grade test fixtures, tools, or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and rectify mechanical malfunctions within intricate testing apparatus and platforms.
• Conduct root cause investigations for HVAC, fluid dynamics, thermal management, and related hardware.
• Coordinate with Test and Design Engineering to translate testing specs into robust mechanical infrastructure.
• Maximize test stand availability by coordinating with technicians to address equipment failures promptly.
• Coordinate with electrical and controls engineers to integrate data acquisition hardware, actuators, and sensors.
• Enhance system reliability by tracking performance metrics and identifying upgrade paths.
• Ensure test equipment mirrors operating conditions to bolster validation outcomes.
• Manage and update BOMs, CAD designs, and SOPs.
• Record maintenance activities, corrective measures, and root cause findings.
• Reduce technical debt by resolving weaknesses in current test infrastructure.
• Contribute to optimization initiatives for mechanical systems and test equipment.
• Promote safety by adhering to protocols with pressurized, high-power, or chemical systems.
