Job summary

IPG Photonics is seeking a Sustaining Product Engineer for the LightWELD handheld laser welding product family. You will sustain released products, improve manufacturing processes, and drive corrective actions across multiple teams to keep products robust and cost-effective.

The role requires 2–4 years in relevant engineering and strong SolidWorks/GDT experience, with a focus on documentation and process improvements. Exempt, on-site in Marlborough, MA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
  • 2–4 years in sustaining/manufacturing/product engineering.
  • Experience with RCCA, CAPA, PFMEA or 8D methods.
  • SolidWorks CAD and 2D drafting with GD&T knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support sustaining eng activities for released LightWELD products.
  • Lead or support troubleshooting, failure analysis and root-cause actions.
  • Own ECOs, drawings, BOM updates and documentation releases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yields and processes.
  • Create/maintain SolidWorks models, drawings, and 工件 documentation.
  • Participate in DFM/DFA updates and cost-reduction efforts.
