Current Lighting in Greenville, SC, USA, is seeking a Sustaining Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for product maintenance, EC management, and warranty support. You will partner with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers to ensure products meet customer expectations while driving cost, quality, and operational objectives.

The role emphasizes coaching, prioritization, and timely closure of engineering activities.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years in product development, sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related fields.
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience (preferred).
• Experience supporting global engineering teams.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with UL 1598 or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Direct experience with lighting or other electro-mechanical products is highly preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of DC circuits (Ohm's law).

• Drive timely closure of engineering and product maintenance activities.

The Sustaining Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers and project resources supporting existing product lines throughout their lifecycle. This role drives engineering excellence through product maintenance, engineering change management, warranty support, cost-reduction initiatives, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement efforts.

Education and Work Experience:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 6(+) years of experience in product development, sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related fields.
• 2(+) years of experience in leadership or management experience. Preferred
• Experience supporting global engineering teams.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management experience. Preferred
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with UL 1598 or equivalent experience. Preferred
• Direct experience with lighting or other electro-mechanical products is highly preferred.
• Optical experience with lighting is preferred.
• Must have a fundamental understanding of DC circuits (Ohm's law).

Additional Information:

• Less than 15% Travel Required

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $107,500-125,000
