C&J Industries Inc is a full-service plastic injection molding contract manufacturer and FDA-certified medical device producer. We are seeking a dedicated Sustaining Engineer to join our team in Meadville, PA, contributing to ongoing product and process improvements across design, tooling, manufacturing, and packaging.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in sustaining engineering within plastics, solid knowledge of processing techniques, and a passion for quality and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven sustaining engineering experience in plastics industry.
• Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement methods (Six Sigma/Lean).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for existing plastic products and processes to ensure optimal performance and quality.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, including equipment, materials, and process deviations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of engineering changes and process modifications.
• Support new product launches and process validations for seamless integration.
• Monitor process performance metrics and recommend efficiency and quality improvements.
