Job summary

C&J Industries Inc invites applications for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our plastics-focused team in Meadville, PA. The role emphasizes developing and refining manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving cost efficiency.

You will collaborate across engineering and production to resolve issues, validate processes, and support new product launches while upholding safety and industry standards. A strong background in plastics manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing, including molding, extrusion, or related processes.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, process control, and quality assurance.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for plastic products to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to plastic molding, extrusion, or assembly processes.
• Conduct process validations, quality inspections, and root cause analysis to maintain high standards.
• Support new product launches by providing technical expertise and process documentation.
• Develops packaging for products.
• Design, build, and maintain various pieces of secondary operations equipment work Instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
