Job summary

C&J Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Process Technician to join our plastics manufacturing team in Meadville. You will set up, operate, and monitor injection molding and related equipment, perform start-up/shut-down procedures, and collaborate with quality control to ensure product quality.

The ideal candidate has experience in plastics processing, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Process Technician or similar role in the plastics or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of plastic processing techniques, machinery, and materials.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, process documentation, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in plastics processing preferred.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor plastic processing equipment such as injection molding machines, extruders, and blow molding machines.
• Conduct start-up and shut-down procedures, ensuring equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on processing machinery to prevent downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
• Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and implement improvements.
• Document process parameters, adjustments, and production reports accurately.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
