Job summary

FM Industries in Fremont, CA is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to provide ongoing technical support, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement for released products and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to resolve issues, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

This role requires strong problem-solving, RCCA experience, and the ability to drive cost reductions while maintaining product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in precision manufacturing/high-tech industries.
• Experience supporting released products in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of RCCA methodologies (8D, A3, Fishbone, 5 Why, or equivalent).
• Ability to create technical reports and present findings to management and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for released products throughout their manufacturing lifecycle.
• Investigate and resolve production, quality, yield, and customer-related issues using structured problem-solving.
• Lead RCCA activities involving internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Develop and implement process improvements to improve quality, capacity, manufacturability, and efficiency.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and lead implementation of product/process changes.
