Job summary

FM Industries is seeking a Sustaining Engineer in Fremont, CA to provide ongoing technical support and lifecycle management for released products and processes.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Suppliers, driving RCCA activities, process improvements, cost reductions, and adherence to ISO and customer requirements while delivering reliable manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in precision manufacturing or related high-tech industries.
• Experience supporting released products in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of RCCA methodologies (8D, A3, Fishbone, 5 Why, etc.).
• Ability to create technical reports and present findings to management and teams.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for released products throughout their lifecycle.
• Investigate production, quality, yield, and customer issues using structured problem solving.
• Lead RCCA activities with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Develop and implement process improvements to quality, capacity and efficiency.
• Identify cost-reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Manage ECOs and implement product/process changes.
• Collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, and Production to improve performance.
• Interface with customers regarding technical issues and changes.
