Job summary

DEMA Engineering Co. is seeking a hands-on Sustaining Engineer to maintain and improve existing products in a manufacturing setting. You will support production, quality, and engineering initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, design changes, and robust documentation to ensure performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance across products and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in sustaining engineering or related roles preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks, PDM systems, CAD modeling, and engineering documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, fluids, and FEA analysis.
• Experience with sheet metal, plastics, and molded part design.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
• Continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve product performance and production issues.
• Develop and implement engineering design changes and product improvements.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, bills of material, prints, specifications, and test reports.
• Design and test prototype and production components using SolidWorks and related tools.
• Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and customer support teams.
• Provide technical support for internal teams and customers.
• Assist with fixture design, prototype development, and production modifications.
• Help maintain compliance with product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Train team members on new and existing processes as needed.

What You'll Do
